Angela-Maria Despotopoulou is a Software Engineer, Senior R&D Engineer and Project Manager at Frontier Innovations, where she leads the design and technical coordination of large-scale European research and innovation projects. Her work focuses on data-driven decision support systems, intelligent transportation, distributed architectures and the integration of emerging digital technologies into critical infrastructures. 

As Technical Coordinator of the Horizon Europe project EvoRoads, she contributes to the development of interoperable mobility data spaces and advanced analytics that support proactive road infrastructure management and safer transport systems. Her research spans road safety, wildfire resilience, industrial digitalisation, IoT security, blockchain-enabled trust mechanisms and Industry 5.0 architectures, with numerousscientific publications and conference presentations in these fields. 

Angela-Maria holds an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering from the University of Sheffield and has pursued further postgraduate studies in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia. Her professional experience combines software engineering with European project leadership, bridging academic research and real-world deployment. She is passionate about transforming heterogeneous data into actionable intelligence that enables more resilient, sustainable and human-centred digital ecosystems.
