IRF Committees
IRF Committees bring together international expertise from across IRF’s membership. They provide a dynamic platform for professionals to exchange knowledge, engage in technical dialogues, and collaborate on solutions to today’s most pressing issues for roads.
The Committees play a key role in identifying emerging trends, defining sector priorities and informing best practice that supports inclusive, safe, green and efficient road systems worldwide.

The introduction of connectivity, automation, electrification and digitalisation is reshaping transport systems at a systemic level. While much of the focus has been on vehicles, road infrastructure remainsessential to ensuring these innovations translate into inclusive, safe, green and efficient mobility outcomes.
The IRF Connected and Autonomous Mobility Committee brings together the global road ecosystem to define the role, priorities and opportunities of infrastructure in this transition. This collaboration supports the evolution of road systems as enablers of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM), aligned with IRF’s mission to advance sustainable, future-ready transport solutions.

IRF Road Safety Committee
Roads are the arteries of global mobility, connecting people, goods, and opportunities, yet road crashes remain a leading cause of death and serious injury worldwide. The road sector has a critical role to play in addressing this challenge by embedding evidence-based safety principles across the planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operation of road networks.
In this context, the IRF Road Safety Committee aims to advance practical, data-driven approaches that strengthen road safety performance across the sector, in alignment with the targets of the United Nations Decade of Road Safety.
